Ian & James | The Glass Chapel

After 15 years of love, life, careers, adventure, a flash mob proposal, a cat baby, but not planning a wedding, it was time. Life keeps happening, and as for so many of my couples their wedding isn't the start of the journey, but the celebration of a very full life lived together, a renewed commitment to all that is still to come.

Miranda and I had the very great privilege of being there for Ian & James's elopement. On this most gorgeous slice of Kapiti, at sunset, with their friends witnessing, these two poured their hearts out when they exchanged vows. Miranda helped them create this very safe, nurturing bubble of calmness, which really is something I only ever see achieved at Elopements.

Long hugs and big laughs to decompress, champagne toasts, cake, handmade chocolates, and a toddler running around as the perfect distraction.

If you're wanting something small and wondering if it's 'enough' - it is. It's more than enough.
