meet Sarah
I've always been drawn to photojournalism and after going down a few paths at Uni I quickly realised there was nowhere else quite like a wedding day to photograph the best parts of the human experience. I’ve been an artist forever, and a photographer since high school. Photography has been a huge part of my life for a long time, I photographed my first wedding over 20 years ago, and I started my business 10 years ago. I still pinch myself that I get to do what I love for my job.
What brings me the most fulfillment is photographing people in love, with each other, with their families. People interacting with people they care deeply about, celebrating the big, and everyday moments, that make us happy and give us joy.
These days you can mostly find me at home in Lower Hutt, slowly cracking on with the house & garden renos & frequently taking breaks to snuggle my adorable cat. I shoot in Wellington, Wairarapa, and Kāpiti, but can often be found further afield.
Education: Bachelor of Design Degree, Visual Communication, Photography. Unitec 2004.
“We’re both quite camera-shy and were worried about photos feeling overly posed, but still wanted some guidance to look our best. Sarah absolutely nailed the balance. Not only did the photos turn out beautiful, but she was also so much fun to be around and such a joy to have as part of our day.
She perfectly captured every moment and really took the time beforehand to understand what we were after. Super chill, easy-going, and so easy to work with — she made us feel completely comfortable from start to finish. We’re beyond grateful and couldn’t be happier with our photos.”

“Sarah captured our big day beautifully. She was so incredibly friendly and helpful from first meeting, through to finalising locations for our wedding photos and timelines, on the big day and after. No task was too much, Sarah took the time to get to know us, to understand what it was that was important to us being captured on the day.
Our photos are beautiful and bring back all the fun beautiful memories from the day and emotions we felt. Even seeing some things that we had missed. We are so thankful to Sarah and her talent, could not recommend her enough!”

“I've always loved the feeling of film photography. When I look through old family albums, there's a richness and warmth to the images that feels timeless, and I knew I wanted my wedding day captured in the same way.
From the moment I met Sarah, I felt completely at ease. I showed her my overflowing Pinterest board of wedding photo inspiration, and before long we were both geeking out over film photography. I knew we were on the same wavelength.
When we received our photos, they were even more beautiful than I had imagined. They're so dreamy, and every image takes me straight back to that moment. The happiest day of my life was captured exactly as it felt, and that's something I'll treasure forever.”

“Sarah did the most amazing job as our wedding photographer.
We really appreciated the coffee chats to help in the planning process as we had no idea what we were doing!
She was a legend on the day and nothing was too much trouble.”
